Dr. Olanrewaju Olaiya is the Vice President, Global Health. He is a highly experienced public health professional with about two decades experience, fourteen of which has been spent implementing Tuberculosis, HIV/ AIDS Care and Treatment, and Hepatitis programs in Nigeria. He has consistently provided strong leadership and professional rigor required for strategic decision making consistent with best practices in resource planning and execution, grant management, innovation, multi-sectoral collaboration and public-private partnership in the delivery of program goals.
At ADRAP he strategically develops and coordinate high-level meetings, summits, trainings and side-events, develop and roll-out of routine monitoring, evaluation and learning systems and contextualized performance management systems. He is currently seconded to work with ECOWAS-RCSDC as a Technical Advisor where he provides technical assistance across all the projects and established monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the outcomes and effectiveness of disease control programs across Member states in West Africa.
Prior to his current position he worked at Prohealth International (PHI) as a Project Director
where he coordinated, supervised promoted and supported programs in this field and worked collaboratively with Catholic Caritas Foundation of Nigeria (CCFN). He has a proven record of success in developing and implementing effective health programmes, evaluating their performances and advocating for resources to improve healthcare outcomes.
He holds a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the prestigious university of Ibadan and a Master’s in Public Health (Management of Health Systems) from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom with various certifications from the American Association of HIV Specialists (AAHIVS), Project Management Development Professional (PMD Pro-1 & 2) and holds several other training certificates related to Leadership and Management, Economic Evaluation in Global Health and Procurement and Supply Chain Management.
